Though she started out as a digital illustrator, Ludi's process has evolved significantly over the past years.
Her current illustration approach is rooted primarily in analog methods (think pencil, pastel, gouache, and ink compositions as well as printmaking) developed in her studio practice, which she then scans and enhances with digital post-processing. This allows her to craft richly layered compositions with textures and energy that stand out.
Ludi has also expanded into murals and window paintings, expanding her expressive work further into the physical realm.
In a time of polished digital imagery, Ludi's visual language honours the hand of the maker, embracing small imperfections and evidence of material process, regardless of whether the project lives on a screen or in the real world.
“Collaborating with Ludi on a window mural for our restaurant was an amazing experience. We highly recommend her to anyone seeking work that balances creativity, cultural resonance & craft."
