Dr. Marten’s sent me a pair of Docs to customize for their DIY Docs series in collaboration with The Trevor Project.
When asked about my inspiration behind the design, I shared: “I wanted to channel the feeling of vibrancy and aliveness that I felt while looking at the countless wildflowers in a river valley where I was while I worked on my design. While painting, I couldn’t help but also think about the feeling of belonging and kinship in Robin Wall Kimmerer’s beautiful words: “all flourishing is mutual.”
