A personal illustration exploring the word “countryside.” Drawing from the philosophical concept “as above, so below”—which refers to the union between celestial and terrestrial realms—this piece depicts some of the magical experiences I've had communing with natural wonder on the countryside.

As a lifelong city-dweller, the countryside has always represented a veil between realms. Each time I venture out of my daily reality of urban sprawl, consumerism, and capitalism and head into the forest or mountains, I am reminded that celestial realms are indeed accessible here on earth.
